Accessibility and safety

Accessibility, privacy and safeguarding are foundations. A beautiful interface that exposes someone or blocks assistive technology has failed.

  1. 01

    Accessibility release floor

WCAG 2.2 AA minimum; 44×44px preferred major targets; keyboard access; strong visible focus; 200% zoom and reflow; captions, transcripts, alt text, skip links and screen-reader checks in English and Hindi.

  2. 02

    Low-bandwidth and performance

Critical HTML and CSS first. No essential JavaScript dependency, autoplay video, heavy hero animation, advertising code, social tracking on support pages, or unnecessary font weights.

  3. 03

    Privacy by restraint

Use only the approved site-wide page analytics tag. No session replay, advertising audiences or analytics events containing searches, disclosures, plans, evidence or form answers. Do not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or notifications by default.

  4. 04

    Safeguarding

Do not solicit children’s public stories or identifying information. Do not force disclosure before support. Evidence advice is optional and threat-modelled.

  5. 05

    Quick exit

Use only where discovery may create danger. Redirect to a neutral destination without confirmation, preserve no sensitive form data and explain that browser history may remain.
